Marketplace Roundup: Bayern Munich Signs Three-Year Deal For Suits With Armani

Bayern Munich players “will be wearing suits made by designer Giorgio Armani from next season after the German double winners signed a three-year deal with the Italian fashion group.” The club said that tailor made suits “will be worn at official club functions or when the team travel and will have personalised labels for each of the players.” No financial details of the agreement “were released” (REUTERS, 5/23). … The Int’l Ice Hockey Federation extended its media and marketing partnership with Infront Sports & Media through ’23. The deal includes the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships and the Group A & B tournaments. Infront will continue to market all commercial rights for the IIHF’s flagship event as well as providing multi-media production (Infront). ... Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund has extended its partnership with regional bank Sparda-Bank West for another three years until the end of the '16-17 season (Borussia Dortmund). ... La Liga side Valencia announced that starting July 1, adidas will become the club's kit partner. The brand will produce Valencia's playing and training kit and will also partner on the club's retail and distribution platforms (Valencia). ... Dorna announced that Michelin will become the official tire supplier of MotoGP starting with the '16 season (MotoGP).
