Relegated La Liga club Real Betis "confirmed" that GABRIEL CALDERON will not continue as coach next season. A statement on Real Betis’ website read, "Gabriel Calderon, whose contract ends on June 30, has told the President of his intention to seek a new challenge" (FOOTBALL ESPANA, 5/20). ... Former Serbia Manager SINISA MIHAJLOVIC "has officially renewed his contract" with Serie A side Sampdoria "after days of uncertainty." Mihajlovic took over from DELIO ROSSI on Nov. 20 "with a contract to the end of the season" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 5/20). ... La Liga side Celta Vigo has confirmed that former defender EDUARDO BERIZZO "will be their new coach." Following LUIS ENRIQUE's departure to take over at Barcelona, the Celestes "have acted quickly in naming a successor" (FOOTBALL ESPANA, 5/20). ... CLAUDIO RANIERI "is no longer the coach of French runners-up Monaco." It "is widely believed" current Sporting Lisbon coach LEONARDO JARDIM will take over (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 5/20). ... Spanish second division side Mallorca announced its dismissal of coach LLUÍS CARRERAS on Tuesday (Mallorca). ... Fuse Sport + Entertainment has appointed NAOMI HALL as senior account director. Hall has spent the last two-and-a-half years in N.Y. as the senior partnerships manager for the Entertainment & Sports Partnerships consultancy within GroupM (Fuse).
