League Championship Leeds United Owner Hoping To Sell Serie A Side Cagliari For $67M

League Championship side Leeds United Owner Massimo Cellino said that he "hopes to sell" Serie A side Cagliari to former Inter Milan Dir Tommaso Giulini for a reported £40M ($67M) this week, according to the BBC. Cellino has been in charge of Cagliari since '92, but has been "looking to sell since taking control of Leeds." Cellino: "I am too busy cleaning up the mess at Leeds. I cannot have two clubs." Cellino said that he is meeting with Giulini, 37, this week and "hopes to conclude a deal by Wednesday." Giulini has "close links to the Moratti family who owned Inter Milan until selling their majority stake last year" (BBC, 5/19).
