Event Notes: Targa Adelaide Tarmac Rally On Ice For '14, Under Review

Adelaide's annual tarmac rally, Targa Adelaide, has been "put on ice for 2014 while new owners review the event." The race had been staged as part of the "national Targa series for the past three years but will be sidelined from the calendar this year" (THE ADVERTISER, 5/20). ... This year's BBC Sports Personality of the Year show will be "held in Glasgow." It will take place at the "SSE Hydro in front of an estimated 12,000 crowd" on Dec. 14 (Scotland DAILY RECORD, 5/20).
