Marketplace Roundup: Calvin Klein Named Women's Open Championship Apparel Supplier

Calvin Klein will be the official apparel supplier for the Women's Open Championship for the next two years. The deal was brokered by IMG through the Ladies' Golf Union. The Royal Birkdale Golf Club will sell Calvin Klein Golf apparel at the start of this year's Open Championship (Calvin Klein). ... The German Football Federation (DFB) and Panini have agreed to extend their cooperation until '18. The Italy-based company will be allowed to use the images of German national team players for its collectible products such as stickers and trading cards. The extension will run from Jan. 1 until Dec. 31, 2018 (DFB). ... Second Bundesliga club FSV Frankfurt and radio station Hit Radio FFH have extended their partnership for another year until June 30, 2015 (FSV Frankfurt). ... German 3rd League football club SSV Jahn Regensburg has extended its main sponsorship deal with mustard producer Händlmaier for another year. The company's logo will continue to be featured on the front of the club's jerseys (SSV Jahn Regensburg). ... UAE Rugby on Wednesday "announced a tie-up" with Dubai Airports for sponsorship of the all-Emirati Shaheen Pathway rugby program. The Shaheen Pathway is UAE Rugby’s Emirati talent development program, "which focuses on the seven-a-side game" (GULF NEWS, 5/14). ... Veuve Clicquot has signed with Automobile Club de Monaco to join the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique as the official champagne for the '14 and '16 editions. Veuve Clicquot will also be the exclusive champagne supplier at events managed by the Automobile Club de Monaco (Veuve Clicquot). ... CONCACAF and CONMEBOL on Tuesday presented the official logo for the 2016 Copa América Centenario. The logo "features a ball in the middle of a trophy" and is completed by two enclosing rings (LA AFICION, 5/13). ... A Qatar Airways plane landing at Barcelona Airport following a trip from Doha briefly "paralyzed hundreds of passengers who noticed the plane's FC Barcelona color scheme while boarding or exiting." It was the "first time the Barcelona plane traveled to the Catalan city," where it was inaugurated as part of the club's partnership with the airline (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 5/14). ... Arkena and La Liga side Sevilla announced the signature of a six-year contract. The TDF Group-owned company will provide Sevilla with its online video platform services. Arkena is providing its online video platform with a full set of features such as multiscreen players and pre-roll advertisement (Arkena).
