Kit Supplier Uhlsport Rejects Accusations Of Jersey Shortage By Iran Football Association
The kit supplier of Iran's national football team, Uhlsport, "is denying the team's accusation that there are not enough jerseys," according to the DPA. Uhlsport said on Tuesday that those accusations "are just as wrong as they are absurd." The company added, "No jersey during a World Cup can be reused for another match, as the jerseys always feature the flags and date of the match on the chest." Iran FA President Ali Kafaschian "has banned players from exchanging jerseys during the World Cup, saying that the federation has to use them sparingly" (DPA, 5/13).
