Borussia Mönchengladbach 'Proud' Of Financial Numbers For '13 Fiscal Year
Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach "is proud of its financial numbers" for the '13 fiscal year despite losing €31M in revenue, according to C. Hornung of BILD. The club's revenue has dropped from €122M in '12 to €91M last year. The decrease in revenue "is due to Gladbach missing out on income from int'l competition last season." All other segments such as attendance, sponsorships and TV income "stayed the same or went up." The club generated a profit of about €1M. Managing Dir Stephan Schippers said, "And this without int'l business, which makes us proud" (BILD, 4/8).
