German Olympic Sports Association Continues With Olympic Bid Plans

The German Olympic Sports Association (DOSB) "will continue with its desire to host Olympic Games," according to the SID. DOSB President Alfons Hörmann said, "The issue of a general bid continues to be one of the major points on the agenda." He added that the organization "will hold further talks, in particualar with Hamburg and Berlin, in the upcoming months." A decision on the questions of when and where "will not be made before the completion of the IOC's agenda in December." The DOSB said that only then "will it be possible to have serious talks if a bid for 2024 is nationally desired and internationally promising" (SID, 4/4).
