Second Bundesliga Side Dynamo Dresden To Take $13M Hit If Club Gets Relegated

Second Bundesliga club Dynamo Dresden would take a €9.3M ($12.9M) "hit to its budget if the team gets relegated to the 3rd League," according to Jan Arndt of BILD. The club, which applied for a 2nd Bundesliga license for the upcoming season, "has also made plans for the thrid divison." Dresden released numbers on Monday that show the club calculates with a budget of €19.7M ($27.4M) for the '13-14 season. However, if relegated, this number would decrease to €10.4M ($14.5M). Players and coaches "would have to suffer significant pay cuts" as the buget for the professional football department would decrease from €6.2M ($8.6M) in the 2nd Bundesliga to €2.8M ($3.9M) in the 3rd League (BILD, 3/18).
