Bundesliga Side FC Schalke Reports Second-Highest Revenue In Club History At €206.8M
Bundesliga club FC Schalke "has released its financial results for the ’13 fiscal year in which it generated the second-highest revenue in club history," according to the SID. The club reported revenue of €206.8M for the year ending Dec. 31. In comparison to last year, Schalke was able to increase its revenue by €16.1M. The increase "is largely due to higher income from transfers, sponsorships and media rights." The club "was also able to more than double its operating result" from €8.8M in ’12 to €19.9M in ’13. In addition, Schalke made a profit of €500,000 during the ’13 fiscal year. In comparison, the club reported a loss of €8.9M during the previous year (SID, 3/14).
