Facility Notes: Storm Damages Roof Of World Cup Stadium In Belo Horizonte

Parts from the roof of a World Cup stadium in Brazil "fell onto the pitch during a storm on Saturday, just hours before a regional championship." Three pieces of metal "used to collect water atop the roof became detached and fell onto the pitch near the benches, and also onto the stands at the Mineirao Stadium in the city of Belo Horizonte, which is scheduled to host a World Cup semifinal." No one "was injured" (AP, 3/2). ... The Board of Control for Cricket in India "is set to declare the Barabati stadium at Cuttack as the venue for hosting cricket test matches" (Indian BUSINESS STANDARD, 2/28).
