Argentine first division side Quilmes on Tuesday hired RICARDO CARUSO LOMBARDI to replace BLAS ARMANDO GIUNTA as coach (OLE, 2/17). ... Spanish third division side Real Oviedo announced that it fired coach CARLOS GRANERO. Granero was hired in March '13 (MARCA, 2/16). ... German 3rd League football club Preußen Münster has appointed former Bundesliga player DETLEV DAMMEIER as its sporting director. The 45-year-old, "who previously worked as a scout for league rival RB Leipzig, signed a contract until June 30, 2016" (SID, 2/17). ... Former News Corp. Australia CEO KIM WILLIAMS will join the Australian Football League Commission next month. Williams will replace CFO CHRIS LYNCH, "who will stand aside at the league's annual meeting on March 4 after six years as a commissioner." Williams served as News Corp. Australia CEO, publisher of The Australian from '11 to last year after a 10-year stint as Foxtel CEO (THE AUSTRALIAN, 2/18). ... The Int'l Netball Federation named CLARE BRIEGAL as CEO. Briegal has been INF's interim CEO for the past four months following the departure of URVASI NAIDOO (INF). ... South China football coach CHEUNG PO-CHUN "has quit the heavyweights after a series of disappointing results." Cheung, who only joined the Caroliners this season from relegated side Tai Po, "cited personal reasons for the decision." Cheung will be replaced by deputy team Manager YEUNG CHING-KWONG (SOUTH CHINA MORNING POST, 2/17). ... World Archery has named MATTEO PISANI IT manager, LAURENT HADORN project coordinator and CHRIS WELLS communications manager. Hadorn will focus on World Archery's sponsorship agreement with Fila and event presentation. Wells will manage World Archery's website and events and produce publications (World Archery).
