Media Notes: MP & Silva Partners With Chinese Professional Baseball League

MP & Silva announced a six-year partnership with the Chinese Professional Baseball League for the domestic and global media rights for Taiwan’s top-tier professional baseball league. MP & Silva will be the exclusive adviser of the CPBL for all media rights sales to all broadcast and media platforms, as well as the production of all games. The agreement covers worldwide territories including Taiwan, and includes all regular-season games, the All-Star Series, Taiwan Series coverage as well as the Winter League (MP & Silva). ... Swimming's world governing body FINA and Universal Sports Network established a new, multi-year media rights agreement to air FINA’s marquee events in the U.S. through '21. The deal gives Universal Sports multi-platform rights, including exclusive TV and Internet rights, to the upcoming editions of the FINA World Championships: in '15 in Kazan, Russia, '17 in Guadalajara, Mexico, '19 in Gwangju, South Korea and '21 in Budapest, Hungary (FINA). ... Sports publisher GiveMeSport is to expand its operations in both the U.K. and U.S. with funding from strategic partner IMG Media. The company is growing its U.K. team and launching a U.S. office and U.S. edition of the site (IMG Media).
