Bayern Munich's Rummenigge Says Club To Increase Allianz Arena Capacity To 75,000
Bayern Munich Exec Board Chair Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said that the club "will increase the capacity of its Allianz Arena," according to the SID. He said, "It looks like we will soon have 75,000 seats." The club plans to add around 4,000 additional seats to its arena. Currently, the Allianz Arena has a capacity of 71,137. Rummenigge: "We will do everything humanly possible to increase the arena's capacity. It looks like we will soon have 75,000 seats." Bayern Munich "is currently working on the arena's third capacity expansion since it opened almost nine years ago." It also is working on an evaluation that is expected to be presented to the appropriate authority at the city by mid-March (SID, 1/21).
