Brazil's Addition Of 1,973 Flights During World Cup Expected To Lower Prices By 67.5%

The prices for airline tickets to Brazil for the World Cup are expected to drop 67.5% after Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) announced an additional 1,973 flights during June and July, according to the EP. The Brazilian Association of Airlines (ABEAR) said that the prices "will begin to drop in the upcoming weeks when companies update their information systems." One significant example "involves flights close to June 23, the date of Cameroon's match against Brazil." Sao Paulo daily Folha reported Brazilian airline Gol's flights' prices for tickets to see that match have dropped from $462 to $150 (EP, 1/21).
