Dortmund's Robert Lewandowski Signs Contract With Bayern Munich Until 2019

Borussia Dortmund striker ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI "agreed to a contract with Bayern Munich on Saturday," according to KRONE. The 25-year-old Polish native "signed a contract" with the reigning UEFA Champions League champion until '19. He will join his new club "during the summer" (KRONE, 1/4). In Munich, Johannes Knuth reported that the player and club officials from both teams "reacted objectively to the trade." However, Dortmund fans "did not show the same amount of objectiveness." The player's Facebook page has been flooded by comments like "traitor" and "Lewangeldski" ("Lewan-Money-ski"). Despite these comments, the news of Lewandowski's trade "did not spark the same level of outrage as did the sudden trade of MARIO GÖTZE from Dortmund to Munich." The reason for it might be that many Dortmund fans "have already said emotionally goodbye to Lewandowski" after he made his intensions to leave the club public during the summer of '13 (SÜDDEUTSCHE ZEITUNG, 1/5).
