Darts World Championship Attracts Above Average Ratings On Sport1

German sports network Sport1 "recorded above average ratings for its broadcast of the PDC Darts World Championship on Wednesday night," according to Manuel Weis of QUOTENMETER. A total of 290,000 viewers tuned in to watch Sport1's "Darts Live" program starting at 9:45pm German time. The number equaled a market share of 1.7%. In the target demographic 14-49, the darts event was watched by an average of 160,000 viewers and had an above average market share of 2.3%. Ahead of the darts world championship, Sport1 aired the women's Handball World Championship quarterfinal game between Germany and Denmark. The game attracted an average of 590,000 viewers and had a 1.9% market share starting at 8:10pm. In the target demographic 28-31, Denmark's win was watched by 150,000 viewers and obtained a 1.4% share. The Handball Bundesliga (HBL) game between Kiel and Lemgo, which Sport1 showed starting at 6:55pm, was unable to attract more than 240,000 viewers. The HBL match obtained a 0.4% market share in the target demographic (QUOTENMETER, 12/19).
