FIFA Club World Cup Match Between Munich-Guangzhou Draws High Ratings On ARD

German public broadcaster ARD "recorded top ratings with its broadcast of the FIFA Club World Cup match between Bayern Munich and Guangzhou Evergrande on Tuesday night," according to Sidney Schering of QUOTENMETER. The game, which started at 8:30pm German time, attracted 6.55 million viewers. The number translated into a market share of 21.6%. In the target demographic 14-49, Bayern's 3-0 victory was watched by 2.03 million viewers and had a 17.2% market share. Ahead of the game broadcast, ARD aired a short version of its "Sportschau live" program. The show obtained market shares of 18.8% and 15.4%, respectively (QUOTENMETER, 12/18).
