Germany To Submit Bid To Host Ryder Cup In '22 After Previous Attempt Failed

Germany "is starting a new attempt to host golf's Ryder Cup tournament," according to SPORT1. Germany "wants to host the '22 edition of the Ryder Cup after its attempt to host the event in '18, which will now take place near Paris, failed." The golf competition between Europe and the U.S. "is the third biggest sporting event in the world" after the Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup." Ryder Cup Germany Exec Chair Norbert Löhlein said, "We won't make the same mistakes as last time" (SPORT1, 12/12).
