Marketplace Roundup: Colombia To Reveal 2014 World Cup Jerseys Thursday

The Colombian national team will reveal its shirts for the 2014 World Cup on Thursday. Adidas, the team's shirt sponsor, "has kept everything about the new model a mystery." To "maintain the excitement," neither adidas nor the Colombian Football Federation has provided details (EL TIEMPO, 11/2). ... Football Federation Australia "has added a new backer" after agreeing to a sponsorship deal with vitamin brand Cenovis. Terms of the deal "were not disclosed but Cenovis, part of the Sanofi Consumer Healthcare group, will become the official vitamin partner of the Australian national team." The Cenovis corporate partnership "will be supported by a dedicated television campaign, extensive digital activity and outdoor advertising." Cenovis and Brisbane Roar midfielder Matt McKay "have also teamed up for a special launch video" (SOCCEREX, 11/1). ... 361 Degrees Int'l Ltd., one of the leading sports brand enterprises in China, announced that the company has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Nordic and outdoor sports goods company One Way Sport Oy. With the formation of the joint venture, the company will gain access to the technological knowledge of One Way Sport in Nordic and outdoor sports, which can help to diversify the group's business and product portfolio (361 Degrees). ... Mazda Australia has extended its major sponsorship of Australian Football League side North Melbourne "for a further three years." At the end of the current agreement, "Mazda will have been major sponsor at the club for 18 years" -- a record for North Melbourne and one of the longest current sponsorships in the AFL (PADDOCK TALK, 10/31). ... British bookmaker Stan James has announced that it "will sponsor the Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March for the fourth successive year, along with another two of the key trials." The bookmaker "has backed the Champion Hurdle" since '11. Along with renewing its sponsorship of the feature race on the first day of the Festival, it "will also support the Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham and Punchestown's Morgiana Hurdle" (LONDON 24, 10/30).
