German public broadcaster ZDF "recorded high ratings for its broadcast of Wednesday's Champions League game between Bayern Munich and FC Viktoria Plzeň," according to Fabian Riedner of QUOTENMETER. A total of 7.79 million viewers tuned in to watch Bayern's 5-0 win. The game, which started at 8:45pm German time, obtained a market share of 26%. In the target demographic, ZDF attracted 2.36 million viewers to its broadcast. The number equaled a 20.4% market share. The pregame, in-game and post-game coverage was watched by 5.35 million viewers and had a 20.7% share.
