Worawi Makudi defeated Virach Charnpanich in Thursday's election to retain the FAT presidency, "but Virach and his supporters have since complained of foul play." Reports in the Italian Press suggest that UEFA has reversed its "decision to close Lazio's Stadio Olimpico." The European governing body decided to shut the capital stadium for the Biancocelesti's clash with Apollon Limassol on Nov. 7 "because of incidents of racist chanting last season." But Lazio news 24 has revealed that UEFA has "overturned that decision for the match in Rome during their next home Europa League clash" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 10/23).
