IOC President THOMAS BACH appointed JOCHEN FÄRBER has head of his exec office. Färber has a background in sport from both the media and management sides. Färber is currently the managing director of Germany's Olympic training center for fencing (IOC). ... English Super League side Bradford Bulls has "appointed local businessman ANDREW CALVERT as financial director" as the Bulls wait for the Rugby Football League to "ratify the club's change of ownership." Calvert is a "shareholder and lifelong Bradford fan" and will join former GM RYAN WHITCUT and other local businessmen MARK MOORE and IAN WATT on the board (SKY SPORTS, 10/18). ... Argentine JOSE LUIS CAMPO has been elected as president of the Americas Paralympic Committee for the third time. Former Canadian Paralympic Committee President CARLA QUALTROUGH was elected vice president while the Dominican Republic's ELADIO AGRAMONTE and the U.S.'s MIKE PETERS were voted in as members at large (IPC). ... Thai FA (FAT) President WORAWI MAKUDI was re-elected president of the FAT for another four years "after defeating former national team boss VIRACH CHANPANICH 42-28 in a secret ballot to earn his fourth straight term." The election "had been postponed because of a dispute among federation members, many of whom opposed Makudi's fight to hold on to his post" (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 10/18). ... MOHSEN REZVANI was "elected as the president" of the Iranian Swimming Federation on Saturday. Rezvani "secured 33 of the 34 votes available and one vote abstained" (TEHRAN TIMES, 10/19).
