Marketplace Roundup: Tissot Becomes Title Sponsor Of Australian MotoGP Race

Swiss watch manufacturer Tissot has been named as title sponsor for this year’s Australian Grand Prix, held at Phillip Island on Oct. 20. The event will now adapt the new title of Tissot Australian Grand Prix. Tissot will receive exposure through trackside advertising, enhanced TV visibility and press coverage (MotoGP). ... Second Bundesliga club Karlsruhe SC and state lottery Lotto Baden-Württemberg have extended their long-term partnership for another season. The deal, which was brokered by sports marketing agency SPORTFIVE, includes ad space on boards in camera view (Karlsruhe SC). ... Konica Minolta and the French National Handball League signed a multiyear sponsorship agreement in which Konica Minolta will become a major partner starting from the '13-14 season. This partnership, concluded by SPORTFIVE, will the French Championships, Champion's Trophy, final phases of the League Cup and Handball Night (SPORTFIVE). ... Alan & Thomas Insurance Group has formalized a deal with League Championship side AFC Bournemouth as the club's official insurance partner. The insurance broker specializes in commercial and high-net-worth personal insurance and risk management. As part of the agreement, Alan & Thomas will also make the most of the Goldsand Stadium's facilities to entertain existing and prospective clients. Bournemouth also extended its commercial partnership with Norfolk Hotel. Traveling fans will be able to make the most of exclusive discounts by quoting "AFCB Norfolk" and the hotel will be giving out vouchers at selected home games (AFC Bournemouth).
