Construction Of Kharkiv Arena In Ukraine Starts, Expected To Be Completed By Dec. '14
The construction of Kharkiv Arena is going to be one of the major objects of sports infrastructure in Ukraine, where EuroBasket 2015 games are going to take place. East European fuel-energy company VETEK GC is a general investor of the construction. The sum of investments into the project will comprise about UAH 350M ($43M). The deadline for construction is Dec. '14. The complex’s versatility makes it possible to hold basketball, handball, volleyball, hockey competitions, and martial arts -- about 100 sports in total. The arena also provides for ice rink availability. Maximum capacity of the complex is 7,086 people (VETEK GC).
