Handball Bundesliga (HBL) THW Kiel "has parted ways" with Managing Dir STEFAN ADAM after seven months. The club "annouced the release of the 40-year-old, who was in charge of the areas of finances, marketing, organization and communication, on Monday." Both sides "stressed that there is no concrete reason for the decision" (KIELER NACHRICHTEN, 8/19). ... England football chiefs "are searching for a new head coach and technical leader for women's football" after sacking team Manager HOPE POWELL on Tuesday. Powell had been in charge of the women's team for 15 years "but came under increasing fire after England were knocked out in the group stages of Euro 2013 last month" (REUTERS, 8/20). ... Football League Two Exeter City has named Warwickshire County Cricket Club Commercial Dir GUY WOLFENDEN as CEO. The 40-year-old, "who officially starts at Exeter" on Oct. 1, replaces JULIAN TAGG in the position. Tagg "has been involved at Exeter in a variety of roles for around 17 years," stepping up as acting CEO in '11 (BBC, 8/20). ... Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Chair ANDREW GLOVER has stepped down and appointed shareholder and local businessman MICHAEL CARTER as his replacement. Glover, who will continue as the club's owner, has been chairman since Feb. '11 and will continue to be involved at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium but says the club's board of directors agreed a "different perspective" was required to move forward. Carter spent 15 years at Yorkshire Traction Group, working his way up to the role of deputy managing director before the company was sold to the Stagecoach Group in '05 (WAKEFIELD EXPRESS, 8/19).
