Asian Football Confederation President Condemns Attack On Football Fans In Pakistan
Asian Football Confederation President Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa on Friday "condemned the attack targeted a local football match in Pakistan this week," according to XINHUA. At least 11 were killed and 24 others injured "when a blast hit a football ground in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi Wednesday." Expressing deep sorrow for the victims, Al Khalifa said that "sport should be used as a tool to promote peace." Al Khalifa: "Football is popular around the world and it brings people together.
