The FA has appointed former England rugby management official DAVE REDDIN as its new head of performance services. He will be based at St. George's Park, the national football center and will report to FA elite development Dir DAN ASHWORTH. Reddin, who also held the role of director of performance services for Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics, "will oversee a number of areas including sport science, medical, performance analysis, psychology and physiotherapy" (BBC, 8/6). ... Betting group Betfair has appointed former Fitness First Group FD ZILLAH BYNG-MADDICK as non-exec director, effective Sept. 5. The role "entails membership of the leisure group's audit committee," and follows Byng-Maddick's recent departure from Trader Media Group, where she most recently held the CEO post, having initially served as CFO from '09 (ACCOUNTANCY AGE, 8/6).
