Andy Murray Expresses Distaste For Wimbledon's Centre Court Roof
Andy Murray "may have benefited from the roof" over Wimbledon's Centre Court Friday, which allowed his third-round match to take place, but the No. 2 seed "is not a fan," according to Patrick Kidd of the LONDON TIMES. Murray wrote on Twitter that he "missed it being open to the elements." Murray tweeted, "It looks and sounds weird watching grass-court tennis indoors." There were plenty around Wimbledon Friday, however, who wondered why the concertina roof, installed in '09 at a reported cost of £80M, "was not pulled over the court for the whole day, given forecasts of intermittent showers" (LONDON TIMES, 6/29).
