League Notes: German Football League To Open Game Ball Tender Process
The German Football League (DFL) "will shortly open the tender process for an official game ball rights package starting with the '14-15 season." The official game ball rights package "will run for four years through the end of the '17-18 season and includes all league games of the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga as well as all relegation games." The DFL's current game ball contract with adidas, which started in '09, has brought about €25M ($32.5M) into the coffers of the 36 professional clubs (SID, 5/13). ...
