German public broadcaster ZDF "recorded top ratings" for its broadcast of Wednesday's Champions League match between Schalke 04 and Galatasaray, according to Uwe Mantel of DWDL. A total of 6.4 million viewers tuned in to watch the 1-1 draw. The game, which started at 8:45pm German time, received a 20.3% share. In the target demographic 14-49, the game obtained a 16.9% share. In addition, German pay-TV channel Sky recorded 670,000 viewers, which translated into a 2.1% market share, for its broadcast of the game. In the target demographic, the match received a 2.8% share (DWDL, 2/21).
SPAIN: Spanish pay-TV channel Canal+ Liga de Campeones' broadcast of the Champions League round of 16 clash between Barcelona and AC Milan was watched by 1.164 million viewers. AC Milan's 2-0 home victory also recorded a 6.2% share (VERTELE, 2/21).
