Saracens Move Heineken Cup Game From Allianz Park To Twickenham Stadium
Premiership rugby side Saracens said that its Heineken Cup quarterfinal game against Ulster on April 6 "will be played at Twickenham," according to Mike Dawes of the London DAILY MAIL. The club's new Allianz Park home, complete with its artificial playing surface, "had been mooted as a possible venue" (DAILY MAIL, 1/30). In London, Chris Jones reported to satisfy European Rugby Cup organizers, Saracens "needed a 15,000 capacity and that required temporary seating" as the Allianz Park holds 10,000 fans. However, this has "proved impossible to implement in the time available" (EVENING STANDARD, 1/30).
