Marketplace Roundup: OMEGA Reaches Deal With Chinese Golfer Shanshan Feng

Watchmaker OMEGA revealed that Chinese golfer Shanshan Feng "has joined its family of brand ambassadors." She is part of a roster that already includes other top golfers such as Greg Norman, Sergio Garcia and Michelle Wie (GULF NEWS, 12/4). ... The German Gymnastics Federation (DTB) has extended its partnership with sportswear manufacturer Erima until '16. Erima, which has been the official outfitter of the federation since '03, will continue to supply German gymnasts with its gear (DTB). ... Havas Sports & Entertainment unveiled a partnership with independent Brazilian experiential marketing agency, Benza Promotions & Events. Based in Rio de Janeiro, Benza will expand HS&E’s global brand engagement offering in this growing market in the run up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil and the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games (HS&E). ... National Rugby League club Cronulla Sharks have agreed to a one-year sponsorship deal with Fitness First (Cronulla Sharks). ... Oman Sail revealed private banking group EFG Int'l will be the main sponsor of Sailing Arabia -- The Tour 2013, the Gulf region's only long distance offshore sailing event. The event will be named "EFG Bank Sailing Arabia -- The Tour 2013" (Oman Sail).
