Gloucestershire Cricket has appointed ANNE ALLIN and COLIN SEXSTONE to its executive board with immediate effect. Sexstone was most recently chairman and previously CEO of Championship club Bristol City FC. Allin is head of marketing for Swire Hotels U.K. She has more than 20 years of experience at senior levels in marketing, starting out in the Bristol-based company Bart Spices (Gloucestershire Cricket). ... Global executive search firm Odgers Berndtson is launching a new India sports practice and hired WASIM HAQ as head of sport for India, the Middle East and Asia. Haq will move from London to Delhi at the beginning of '13 with a view to establish other bases throughout the region (ODGERS BERNDTSON). ... German Ski Federation (DSV) President ALFONS HÖRMANN "has been re-elected for a third term at the helm of the federation." The 52-year-old "was unanimously elected to lead the federation for another four years" (XC-SKI.de, 10/22). ... Basketball Bundesliga club Frankfurt Skyliners Sports Dir KAMIL NOVAK has been named FIBA Europe secretary general. The appointment was made by the FIBA Europe Exec Committee. Novak has been the sports director for the Skyliners for the past seven years (FIBA Europe).

MANAGERS: Serie A Genoa FC has parted ways with coach LUIGI DE CANIO in the wake of its 4-2 home defeat against AS Roma on Sunday. LUIGI DEL NERI will be his replacement. Genoa President ENRICO PREZIOSI said, "It was right to change now. I moved quickly to negotiate with Del Neri because I feared he could have signed for another club in the next few days" (UEFA). ... Cypriot top flight club AEL Limassol FC has parted ways with its coach CHARALAMPOS CHRISTODOULOU ahead of Thursday's UEFA Europa League tie against Fenerbahçe SK in Nicosia (UEFA). ... UAE Pro League club Dibba Al Fujairah FC coach MARCELO CABO "became the second Pro League coaching casualty of the season" after "paying the price for the club's poor start to the season." He has been replaced by ABDULLAH MISFIR, the Emirati who was caretaker coach of the UAE national team following SRECKO KATANEC's dismissal in September (THE NATIONAL, 10/22).
