Ahead Of The Third Edition Of The Korean Grand Prix, F1 Is Still Foreign In South Korea
The Korean F1 Grand Prix "is one of the more controversial races on the F1 calendar, while most drivers like the course, they are bugged by the strange atmosphere," according to the DPA. Mercedes driver Michael Schumacher said, "Korea is one of the newer races in F1, which is sadly noticeable due to a high number of empty seats." The racetrack, which has been part of the F1 calendar since '10, is located about 320km from South Korea's capital Seoul. There is "simply not a lot to see or to do for fans or drivers" (DPA, 10/10).
