Naza Group of Companies has "come on board as the main sponsor for the Sultan of Selangor's Cup football competition" at the Shah Alam Stadium in Malaysia on Sept. 29. The company handed over a sponsorship of RM300,000 ($98,800) to Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah. Other sponsors for the event are Syabas Berhad (RM200,000/$65,900); B&G Capital Resourses Berhad and Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad RM100,00 ($32,900) each while SP Setia Berhad, Splash Sdn Bhd, Taliworks Corp. Berhad, Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd and Tan Sri Mustapha Kamal are contributing RM50,000 ($16,500) each. The event "was initiated in '01 by Sultan Sharafuddin to foster better relations between Selangor and Singapore" (THESTAR.com.my, 9/8). ...
