Algerian Football Federation Close To A Deal That Will Bring Brazil To Algiers For A Friendly
Algerian Football Federation (FAF) President Mohammed Raouraoua is "currently negotiating" to have a friendly match in Algiers, Algeria between Algeria and Brazil, according to Leila Assam of EMARRAKECK. The game would take place at the July 5 Stadium on Nov. 14. Raouraoua said, "We are still in negotiation with the Brazilians to organize a friendly match here in Algeria on Nov. 14, on the 50th anniversary of the FAF." The Brazilian Football Federation "asked for $3M" for the national team to play in Algeria but appears willing to settle on a $1.5M deal. Raouraoua is confident the sponsors "will guarantee this sum and bring Brazil to Algeria at the pleasure of the fans" (EMARRAKECH, 9/15).
