UEFA Champions League Group Stage Drawing In Monaco

The UEFA Champions League group stage draw took place in Monaco on Thursday. Chelsea FC will start its UEFA Champions League title defense against three domestic champions in FC Shakhtar Donetsk from the Ukraine, Juventus FC from Italy and FC Nordsjællands from Denmark. The group stage fixtures will be played on Sept. 18-19, Oct. 2-3, Oct. 23-24, Nov. 6-7, Nov. 20-21 and Dec. 4-5. The group winners and runner-ups will progress to the round of 16 in the spring. Teams finishing third in each group will transfer to the UEFA Europa League round of 32 (UEFA).
