Toy Company Gulliver Agrees To Partnership With Brazilian Footballer Neymar

Toy manufacturer Gulliver "closed a deal" with Brazilian footballer Neymar to produce a new collection, according to MAQUINADOESPORTE.com.br. The Brazilian company will use the image of the Brazilian national team and Santos striker in a collection called "Neymar Jr. Futebol Club." Gulliver, which has worked with Pele and other famous athletes in the past, found in Neymar the possibility to innovate and "invested 8% of its annual income in the launch of the new line." Gulliver Marketing Dir Isabelle Lavin said, "In addition to the creation and manufacturing of each item, we will have kiosks, 30- and 15-second ads for TV broadcasters and a movie exclusive for online disclosure. We'll also do promotions in shopping centers." She added, "We have a history of licensing football personalities. Neymar is the best player in the country at this moment, very charismatic and popular in different audiences, with an extremely positive image. With the proximity of the World Cup, we saw the opportunity to close a partnership for a complete collection." The price of the toys will vary from R$6.90 ($3.40) to R$139.90 ($69.30) (MAQUINADOESPORTE, 8/20).
