Corinthians Looking To Build Exclusive Cemetery For Their Fans

Corinthians FC wants its fans "to stay connected with the club even after death," according to Bruno Thadeu of UOL.com.br. Management is negotiating with a construction company to have "an exclusive cemetery" for their fans. The location of the site has not yet been decided. Corinthians VP Luis Paulo Rosenberg said that the creation of an exclusive cemetery "would be a way of honoring the fans who expressed their passion for the club during their life and it would reinforce the idea of 'eternal love' for Corinthians." The construction company that is chosen "will take care of the cemetery, and the club will use its brand to attract" fans. The idea is new in Brazil, but it already exists in Hamburg, Germany and in Argentina, where Boca Juniors have had their exclusive cemetery since '06 (UOL.com.br, 8/16).
