Online Ticket Exchange Viagogo Partners With Several Major European Football Clubs

Online ticket marketplace viagogo announced partnerships with nine English Premier League clubs, five Bundesliga clubs, two Dutch Eredivisie clubs, one La Liga club and a number of Serie A clubs. The partnership will see the company provide ticketing to some of the biggest clubs in the world, including EPL champions Man City, Champions League winners Chelsea FC, Germany's Bayern Munich and Dutch side PSV Eindhoven. The partnerships represent a growing trend toward secondary ticketing in Europe, as clubs are allowing fans to resell tickets to games they are not able to attend. By allowing ticket resale, clubs will be able to fill the empty seats in stadiums, which will increase match-day revenue through food, drink and merchandise sales. Viagogo also has partnerships in the U.K. with Newcastle United, Fulham FC, West Bromwich Albion, Wigan Athletic, Queens Park Rangers, West Ham United, and Aston Villa. In Germany, viagogo is also partners with FC Kaiserslautern, FC Nurnberg, VfL Wolfsburg and Hannover SV 96.Viagogo has also partnered with Feyenoord in the Netherlands, RCD Mallorca in Spain and a number of Serie A teams in Italy (viagogo).
