Lyon Agrees To Two-Year Shirt Sponsorship Deal With Hyundai
Ligue 1 club Olympique de Lyon has agreed to a sponsorship deal with auto manufacturer Hyundai, according to SPORTUNE.fr. The South Korean company will have its logo "on the front of the club's jersey" for the next two seasons in a deal worth €5M ($6.1M) annually. The amount "seems normal" for a French club that will not be competing in the Champions League this year. Even though the deal is less than the €7M ($8.6M) annually it received from previous sponsor Betclic, Lyon will remain one of the clubs with the most expensive shirt sponsorships in France (SPORTUNE.fr, 8/11).
