Chelsea Unveils Third Kit With 'Striking' Black And Yellow Design

Chelsea FC, who has "a history of pushing the envelope in design for their change strip," has introduced a third kit for the '12-13 season, according to the London DAILY MAIL. The kit is "a striking yellow and black" combination, which "looks more like a goalkeeper's jersey with its flashy design" on the front of the kit. According to designer adidas, the striking sun graphic on the front of the black shirt "creates a contrast in colours, giving the impression of power, while the fade in the graphic represents speed." The Chelsea badge is black and white and "stands out against the sun graphic." The kit includes adidas' ClimaCool technology, a mixture of heat and moisture controlling materials, ventilation channels and 3D fabrics, which improve air flow to the skin in the key heat zones. A sun colored mesh panel is also featured on the sleeves of the shirt "for better breathability in core sweat zones" (DAILY MAIL, 7/26).
