Russian Energy Company Gazprom Signs Three-Year Deal With EPL Club Chelsea
Chelsea FC and Gazprom Marketing & Trading Ltd. announced a three-year energy partnership deal on Tuesday. Gazprom will become the club’s official global energy provider, supplying gas and power at Stamford Bridge Stadium and Chelsea’s training facility at Cobham. As part of the deal, Gazprom’s brand will be displayed on LED boards at Stamford Bridge during Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup games, on the club’s media backdrops and across its digital platforms. Gazprom CEO Vitaly Vasiliev said, “This partnership with the European champions gives us an outstanding platform to further raise our profile across our European and global markets.” Chelsea FC CEO Ron Gourlay said, “Our huge fan base around the world will help Gazprom reach their key markets in Europe and Asia."
