The Philippine National Football Team has extended its partnership with transport provider Columbian Autocar Corp., which is the exclusive distributor of KIA vehicles in the country. The announcement comes as Azkals prepare for an extensive int'l tour that will include matches and training camps in the U.S., Bahrain and Japan. While in the U.S., the men's team will play matches against Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire and Columbus Crew (Azkals).

NIKE DEAL: Málaga FC of Spain's La Liga has extended its sponsorship deal with Nike for the next two years. The deal will run until the end of the '13-14 season (Málaga FC).

TOUR SPONSOR:
Mobile phone manufacturer Alcatel One Touch has become the official sponsor of the Tour de France. The company will provide official mobile phones for the Grande Boucle and the Classic races organised by Amaury Sport Organisation throughout the year. Alcatel One Touch has also launched a free social networking cycling game called One Touch Andro'Ride for Facebook (Alcatel).

FILA EXPANDING: In New Delhi, Binny Sharma reported Italian sports lifestyle brand Fila will open 100 stores in next three years through franchising mainly in high streets or malls in India. Fila India CEO Rajiv Bajaj said that the company plans to become a Rs 150 core company this fiscal year compared to a Rs 120 core in '11-12. (TEHELKA, 7/5).

CITY ADDITIONS: As part of the Manchester Eastlands' regeneration framework, the city of Manchester is looking at the potential development of a new regional sports hub or house of sport concept and has appointed TSE Consulting to assist with the market research and concept development. The new sports hub would add to the current sports environment already existing in Manchester. (TSE Consulting).
