Murray Stands To Earn 'Unprecedented Riches' Should He Win Wimbledon

The vacant sponsors’ patch on Andy Murray’s shirt "puts him in position to maximise the huge commercial earnings" if he becomes Wimbledon champion, according to Charles Sale of the London DAILY MAIL. Murray is seeking to become the first British man to win the Wimbledon singles title in 76 years. It would bring him "unprecedented riches." There would also be "the opportunity for a sponsor to have their brand on his kit immediately." Murray analyzes endorsement offers "more deeply than most." He will only sign for a company "with whom he can relate and whose appearance demands don’t impact on his tennis schedule." His advisers could "name their price" for a Wimbledon champion, and are "looking at innovative global deals, such as with a film studio who could advertise blockbuster releases on his shirt" (DAILY MAIL, 7/2).
