DFB Wants Clear Definition Of Goal-Line Technology From FIFA And UEFA
The German Football Federation (DFB) has demanded regulations for goal-line technology, according to BZ-BERLIN.de. DFB expects "definite rulings as well as a time period for the introduction of goal-line technology from international governing bodies FIFA and UEFA." DFB President Wolfgang Niersbach said "the DFB is basically in favor of goal-line technology, but questions remain, which have to be elaborated." Niersbach also mentioned that "the technology's high costs might be an obstacle for many clubs." A FIFA board, which is in charge of regulations, will decide about the introduction of goal-line technology on July 5, '12 (BZ-BERLIN.de, 6/23).
