The Rio de Janeiro government has chosen the color of the seats for the Maracana stadium, according to Felippe Costa of GLOBOESPORTE. The stadium that will host the 2014 World Cup final will have blue, white and yellow seats. With the green grass "this means that the colors of the Brazilian flag will be represented in the stadium." Rio Governor Sergio Cabral said, "It was very beautiful, because it mixes the colors of Brazil and Rio de Janeiro" (GLOBOESPORTE, 6/15).

BREAKING RECORDS:
MAQUINA DO ESPORTE reported that this year's French Open provided record audiences for European broadcaster Eurosport which holds the rights to the tournament. Each game had an average audience of 1.1 million people or a 7% increase from last years edition. In total, 61.2 million people followed the tournament on Eurosport over the two weeks (MAQUINA DO ESPORTE, 6/15).
