Timbers-Sounders Game Tonight Poised To Set MLS Attendance Record

The MLS Sounders "have already sold-out the 66,500-seat capacity at CenturyLink Field" for tonight's 10:00pm ET game versus the Timbers on ESPN2, which means the team will "set a franchise record for attendance" in a league game. The largest crowd the Sounders "ever had is the 67,052 for a friendly" against EPL club Manchester United on June 20, 2011 (SEATTLETIMES.com, 8/22).
