Inaugural SFP Grand Prix Draws 10,000 Fans To Kansas Speedway
Last night's inaugural Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series SFP Grand Prix at Kansas Speedway was held "in front of an estimated 10,000" fans (K.C. STAR, 8/18). The series is a "new experience to the average American motorsports fan, but those who came out to the speedway seemed to enjoy it." Kansas Speedway President Pat Warren was "pleased with the final product," and is "confident it will become a regular part of the schedule." Warren: "We may or may not fit into that picture next year. Even if we don't fit into it next year, it doesn't mean it's not something that won't happen in the future" (K.C. STAR, 8/18).
